A regal return.
Henrik Lundqvist was back in pads for the first time since receiving medical clearance, taking part in the New York Rangers' morning skate in preparation for their game against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night.
He told reporters following the skate that he's prepared physically and wants to return to game action this weekend.
Lundqvist has been sidelined with a vascular injury since the beginning of February, an absence that has coincided with New York shooting up to the top spot in the overall league standings.
He wore added support around his collar and the back of his neck to protect the injury.
