Red Wings' Miller avoids serious eye injury after taking skate to face
Tim Fuller / USA Today
Detroit Red Wings forward Drew Miller left Tuesday's contest against the Ottawa Senators after taking a skate to the face from the Senators' Mark Stone.
Miller was immediately taken to the dressing room for repairs.
Nick Cotsonika of Yahoo Sports reports that Miller suffered two lacerations around his right eye, with no damage to the eye itself.
He did not return to the game.
A photo of Miller's repaired face was leaked after the contest. Be prepared for a gruesome image.
