Barry Trotz continues to cement his legacy as one of the NHL's great coaches.
With a 5-4 shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens, the Washington Capitals head coach became the 13th in NHL history to hit the 600-win mark behind the bench.
The majority of those victories - 557 - came while Trotz was head coach of the Nashville Predators.
Wednesday's win marked Trotz's 43rd with Washington, where he's hoping to add to his 19 career playoff victories as soon as this year.
