The Boston Bruins expect to have their top defenseman back for the home stretch.
Zdeno Chara was back on the ice Tuesday and is expected to suit up for the team's next game Wednesday against the Washington Capitals, head coach Claude Julien has announced.
The captain was held off the ice Monday after blocking a shot with his foot over the weekend.
In 60 games, Chara has recorded eight goals, 12 assists and 132 shots in an average of 23:17 of ice time.
