Nail Yakupov and Jordan Eberle are trying to end the Edmonton Oilers' season on a positive note in Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks, opening the scoring with two goals 11 seconds apart in the first period.
Yakupov capitalized with a one-timer from the side of the net after Derek Roy forced a turnover 9:45 into the game. Eberle made it 2-0 on the following play with a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle that beat Ryan Miller to the glove side.
The Oilers lost 6-5 in overtime.
