Ex-Sabres coach Ted Nolan thanks team, fans in statement

Ted Nolan has no hard feelings after the end of his second stint coaching the Buffalo Sabres.
Nolan, who was fired Sunday, released a statement Monday thanking the organization and the fans for supporting him during his time behind the bench.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kim and Terry Pegula, Pat Lafontaine, my coaches and the Sabres management, players, medical, training, arena and public relations staff for all of their support over the past two seasons. Above all, I want to thank the fans and the beautiful people of Buffalo! THANK YOU BUFFALO!!! Yours in spirit, Ted.
Nolan has a 187-227-38 (19 ties) record in 471 career games as an NHL head coach. He won the Jack Adams Award with Buffalo in the 1996-97 season.
