Penguins prospect Matt Murray named AHL Rookie of the Year

The Pittsburgh Penguins may not be looking so good going into the playoffs thanks to injuries and inconsistent play, but the organization received some great news on Tuesday.
Goalie prospect Matt Murray was named the AHL Rookie of the Year.

The 20-year-old netminder earned a record of 25-9-3 with a GAA of 1.51 in 39 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
He also recorded 12 shutouts and a .943 save percentage.
