Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby hasn't looked like his usual self in Game 1 against the New York Islanders, but there wasn't much he could do to stop Ryan Strome's wrist shot.
Strome scored right off a faceoff early in the second period, roofing one blocker-side on Holtby to give the Capitals a 2-1 lead.

The Islanders added an insurance marker later in the frame when Josh Bailey scored on a wrister of his own.
