Flames top Canucks to regain series lead after physical Game 3
The Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks found more reasons to hate one another in Game 3 on Sunday, which the Flames won 4-2.
Calgary held the lead for most of the contest, which saw 34 minutes in penalties assessed in the final 1:25. Canucks forward Alex Burrows received an instigator penalty during that span and will be suspended for Game 4 unless it is rescinded.
Calgary leads the series 2-1.
Star Performer: Flames defenseman T.J. Brodie had a goal and an assist in the first period and was among the game's leaders in time on ice with 26:30. Only defensive partner Dennis Wideman (26:46) played more.
Turning Point: Canucks players Yannick Weber and Dan Hamhuis committed undisciplined penalties late in the third period, allowing Sean Monahan to ice the contest with a goal on the ensuing two-man advantage.
Goalie Comparison: Jonas Hiller was good when he had to be, but Vancouver needed a better game from Eddie Lack. The Canucks could turn to Ryan Miller for Game 4 if they are unsatisfied with Lack.

Top Highlight: Calgary rookie forward Sam Bennett made the Saddledome crowd erupt with his first career playoff goal, which ended up being the winner.

Stat of the Night: Michael Ferland was a wrecking ball all night for the Flames, finishing with a game-high nine hits - four more than any other player. Ferland capped his night with some fisticuffs with Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa.
