That didn't take long.
The Edmonton Oilers have reached out to former San Jose Sharks coach Todd McLellan the same day he and the Sharks mutually agreed to part ways, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
McLellan compiled a 311-163-66 record over seven seasons behind San Jose's bench and should attract interest from any team with a coaching vacancy. He is not expected to make any decisions on his future until he is done coaching Canada at the World Championship.
