Sabres sign Eichel's college linemate Rodrigues to 2-year contract

Jack Eichel will have a familiar face waiting for him if he's drafted by the Buffalo Sabres.
The Sabres, who own the second pick in the 2015 draft, have signed Boston University forward Evan Rodrigues to a two-year contract.
Rodrigues played on Eichel's wing in his senior season, finishing second on the team with 61 points.
Rodrigues went undrafted by NHL teams during his eligible years. Boston University coach David Quinn has high praise for his hockey IQ, but Rodrigues totaled 60 points in three college seasons before Eichel arrived, so it's difficult to see him as an impact player at the professional level.
