Ottawa Senators forward Clarke MacArthur and defenseman Marc Methot battled injuries during their first-round loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
MacArthur and Methot both played through hip flexor injuries during the series, the players told reporters Sunday. MacArthur said he doesn't think his ailment will require surgery.
Both players took part in all six games. MacArthur scored in Games 2 and 3, while Methot logged 15:35 in the final contest.
The Canadiens clinched the series with a 2-0 victory over the Senators in Game 6 on Sunday.
