Malkin, Tarasenko to play for Russia at World Championship

Russia added some firepower to their World Championship roster Tuesday.
It was announced that Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko will join Russia for the World Championship in Prague that kicks off Friday.
Both players saw their NHL clubs eliminated from the post-season this past week.
Joining Malkin and Tarasenko will be New York Islanders forward Nikolay Kulemin and Dallas Stars forward Valeri Nichushkin. Earlier in the day Ilya Kovalchuk was announced as the team's captain.
Malkin had 28 goals and 70 points in 69 games, while Tarasenko had 37 goals and 73 points in 77 games.
