The Hamburglar could be back between the pipes for the Ottawa Senators next season.
General manager Bryan Murray told reporters at the team's final press conference of the season that goaltender Andrew Hammond will be given a contract offer from the club.
Hammond, set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, backstopped the Senators to an unexpected playoff berth, going 20-1-2 down the stretch with a .941 save percentage and a 1.79 goals-against average.
The 27-year-old was a little less impressive in the postseason, losing his starting job to Craig Anderson as the Senators fell to Montreal in six games.
