Kim Klement / USA Today
Now that the Detroit Red Wings' season is over, speculation about head coach Mike Babcock's future is about to go into overdrive.
Babcock will reportedly sit down with general manager Ken Holland on Friday morning, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
The coach will become a free agent when his contract expires on June 30 if no contract extension is reached.
Babcock told McKenzie that he is talking to his family Thursday and that no decision has been made.
The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Red Wings 2-0 on Wednesday night in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series.
