The New York Rangers can't seem to stop playing close playoff games.
New York lost 1-0 to the Washington Capitals on Monday, setting a new NHL record in the process. Monday's loss marked the 10th consecutive Rangers playoff game decided by a one-goal margin - the longest streak in league history.
The last time a Rangers playoff game was decided by more than one goal, they were defeated 3-0 by the Los Angeles Kings in Game 3 of the 2014 Stanley Cup final. Thirteen of New York's last 14 postseason contests have been one-goal affairs.
