Edmonton Oilers fans, presumably, are still on a high from winning the right to select Connor McDavid at the NHL Draft Lottery, but they weren't the only ones launched vertical.
Winger Jordan Eberle admitted that he and a handful teammates partook in some exuberant celebrations when they discovered the news.
"We were jumping around," Eberle told ESPN's Craig Custance. "It's funny, we've had a few first overall picks and a lot of good players. But you can watch this kid and watch the caliber he is - it's kind of that next level.
"From what you've seen in juniors, (McDavid) looks like a pretty special player. I'm looking forward to getting a chance to play with him." he added.
McDavid will hop on stage at the NHL Entry Draft on June 26.
