Auston Matthews should have a bright career ahead of him, but where he'll play in the immediate future is still undecided.
The 17-year-old - projected to be the first overall selection in next year's NHL Entry Draft - has so far been ambivalent about his destination for the 2015-16 season.
However, Everett Silvertips general manager Garry Davidson told Nick Patterson of the Everett Herald that a decision is expected this week.
The youngster has whittled his choices down to three potential suitors: Everett, the NCAA or the Swiss pro league.
Matthews spent 2014-15 with the U.S. National Under-18 team recording 20 goals and 28 assists in 24 games.
