Flyers sign KHL defenseman Yevgeni Medvedev to reported 1-year, $3M deal

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Yevgeni Medvedev.
Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reported that the two sides agreed to a one-year, $3-million deal.
It will be the 32-year-old's first piece of professional experience in North America after spending his entire career in Russia, most recently playing for Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL.
The Russian represented his homeland in the 2011-12 and 2013-14 World Championships, as well as the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.
He recorded three goals and 13 assists in 43 KHL games in 2014-15 to go along with 26 penalty minutes.
