The Colorado Avalanche are reportedly eyeing a pair of candidates to assist Patrick Roy behind the bench.
Benoit Groulx and Dave Farrish have emerged as candidates to fill the team's recently vacated assistant coaching positions, reports Sportsnet's Damien Cox.
Groulx led Canada to gold at the World Junior Hockey Championship last January and Farrish is a former Toronto Maple Leafs assistant.
Andre Tourigny and Mario Duhamel left the Avalanche last week to seek employment elsewhere.
After winning the Jack Adams Award for leading Colorado to an improbable Central Division title in his first campaign, Roy saw his team take a significant step back last season, finishing 12th in the conference.
