McDavid signs sponsorship deal with CCM
He has yet to be drafted into the NHL, but Connor McDavid has already signed his first major sponsorship deal.
Thursday it was announced that the young phenom had signed a deal to become one of the future faces of CCM Hockey.
"I don't think I'm the face of the brand by any means," McDavid said. "I mean there's a whole bunch of great names that are partnered with it. And I'm just a part of that. To be a part of that is a very special today."
McDavid joins the likes of Sidney Crosby, Pavel Datsyuk, John Tavares, and Carey Price as stars signed to the hockey equipment manufacturer.
The deal will see McDavid fitted for all his equipment and will see him play a role in the company's marketing including the new "Made of Hockey" campaign.
McDavid is expected to be selected by the Edmonton Oilers first overall in the draft.
