Report: Adam Burish clears waivers, will be bought out by Sharks
Ed Szczepanski / Reuters
Burish cleared waivers on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis:
The Sharks will now buyout the rest of the veteran winger's contract, meaning he'll become an unrestricted free agent. The move hardly comes as a surprise, as the 32-year-old struggled to maintain his spot on the Shark's roster this year, only suiting up for 20 games with the NHL club. At this point in time it isn't clear whether any NHL team will be willing to take a flyer on the aging forward. Burish very well may have played his last game in the NHL.
