Mike Reilly is returning home.
The free agent defenseman, who spurned the Columbus Blue Jackets in mid-June, has signed with the Minnesota Wild, reports Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.
Johnston adds that Reilly chose the Wild over the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Mike Reilly can't officially sign w/Wild until July 1 but when he does, it'll be 2-year entry level deal.

The move makes sense for Reilly, who is a Minnesota native and played his college hockey with the Golden Gophers.
Reilly, 21, was drafted by the Blue Jackets in the fourth round of 2011 NHL Entry Draft, but never suited up for the team.
He potted six goals, added 36 assists and recorded 44 penalty minutes for the University of Minnesota last season.
