Ron Hextall and the Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly looking to create some noise.
The franchise made a move at the NHL Draft on Friday, trading up five sports to select forward Travis Konecny of the Ottawa 67's and they may not be done.
Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly reports the Flyers are interested in moving forward Vincent Lecavalier and defensemen Nicklas Grossmann and Luke Schenn.
"We've talked, people have called us and they know we have a lot of defensemen," Hextall told Panaccio. "I don't know how it's going to shake out or whether something happens (Saturday) or after July 1.
"I'm confident something will happen."
The news about Lecavalier is nothing new, as reports surfaced in mid-June that they Flyers were interested in dumping his $4.5 million annual cap hit over the next three seasons.
If they're unable to find a trade partner for Lecavalier, the Flyers could move Grossmann ($3.5M cap hit) and/or Schenn ($3.6M cap hit), giving them some financial wiggle room, as they currently have less than $2 million to play with on the open market.
