The Carolina Hurricanes are producing highlight-reel goals on nearly a daily basis at their development camp, and the latest jaw-dropping move comes from a defenseman.
Hurricanes prospect Haydn Fleury pulled off a behind-the-back wrist shot and found the back of the net Thursday.
The seventh overall pick in 2014 posted 28 points in his third year with the WHL's Red Deer Rebels. He appeared in one game for the AHL's Charlotte Checkers in 2014-15.
Fellow Hurricanes prospect Sergey Tolchinsky scored a pair of eye-opening goals earlier in the week.
The Hurricanes' development camp is now officially appointment viewing.
