Blackhawks-Wild alumni game to include former North Stars
Minnesota North Stars alumni will team up with former Minnesota Wild players to face Chicago Blackhawks legends in the lead-up to the Stadium Series game between the current Wild and Blackhawks clubs.
The Wild confirmed the plan to include former North Stars to Josh Cooper of Yahoo Sports' Puck Daddy.
Minnesota and Chicago will meet in the Stadium Series contest Feb. 21, 2016, at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The complete alumni rosters have not been finalized, but former North Stars defenseman Brad Maxwell told ESPN 1500 Twin Cities that the alumni game will take place Feb. 20 and that it will include former members of both the North Stars and Wild.
Maxwell told "Mackey and Judd" co-host Judd Zulgad that Hall of Famers Mike Modano and Dino Ciccarelli plan to participate.
North Stars alumni will include Meloche, Beaupre, Maxwell, Hartsburg, Carlson, Giles, Broten, Bobby Smith, Basil, Plett, Dino and Modano.
