Pitlick signed a one-year contract with the Oilers on Thursday.
Analysis:
Pitlick suffered a lacerated spleen on Jan. 1 that kept him out of action until April 7. The 23-year-old was, however, able to suit up for 17 games with the Oilers last season, tallying two goals in those contests. He also played in 14 games with AHL Oklahoma City in 2014-15, tallying nine points (three goals, six assists) over that span. Pitlick will compete for a roster spot with the Oilers in training camp.
