The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defenseman Viktor Svedberg, the club announced Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Signed as a free agent in 2013, the 24-year-old has appeared in 84 games for the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate in Rockford, with five goals and 18 assists to his credit.
Svedberg has yet to make his NHL debut.
