The New York Islanders agreed to terms with goaltender Kevin Poulin on a one-year, two-way contract Tuesday, the club announced.
Poulin will reportedly earn $600,000 at the NHL level - just as he did last season - and $275,000 in the AHL.
The 25-year-old appeared in one game for the Islanders in 2014-15, allowing three goals in an overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
He went 16-21-7 with a 2.87 GAA and .912 save percentage in 45 contests with the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
The Islanders signed goaltender Thomas Greiss to a two-year, $3-million deal on July 1. He is expected to serve as the backup to Jaroslav Halak, meaning Poulin will likely see the majority of his playing time in the AHL.
