Buffalo Sabres center Ryan O'Reilly's impaired driving case has been adjourned until next month, reports AM980, a local radio station in London, Ontario.
O'Reilly was not in court, but his lawyer appeared on his behalf Thursday morning. He's charged with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene.
It's alleged O'Reilly crashed his truck into a Tim Hortons and was arrested on foot shortly after leaving the scene on July 9 - just six days after he signed a $52.5-million contract with the Sabres, the richest in team history.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 10.
