Report: Patrick Kane met with police, DA's office as investigation continues
Chicago Blackhawks star forward Patrick Kane has met with investigators regarding the accusation of sexual assault made against him, according to a report in the Buffalo News on Sunday.
One source told the Buffalo News that Kane met with an investigator from the Erie County District Attorney's office, while another source said he met with both an investigator from the DA's office and a detective from the Hamburg Police Department.
The meeting is believed to have taken place at the office of Kane's lawyer, Paul Cambria, who declined to comment on the matter.
The case is considered a joint investigation between the DA's office and local police. No charges have been laid, but Kane's home - where the incident is alleged to have taken place earlier in August - has been searched, while authorities continue to await the results of forensic tests.
Kane was recently dropped from the cover of "NHL 16" and privately celebrated the Blackhawks' latest Stanley Cup win with family.
