Report: Kings and Kopitar 'not even in the ballpark' on contract extension

The Los Angeles Kings and forward Anze Kopitar remain far apart on a potential contract extension.
The two sides are "not even in the ballpark," Kings general manager told Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider. Both sides do have lots of time to strike a deal as Kopitar will not become an unrestricted free agent until July 1, 2016.
Kopitar is entering the final year of a seven-year, $47.6-million contract and will make $7.7 million next season.
The 28-year-old has 218 goals and 610 points in 683 games, all with the Kings.
