VIDEO: Sharks officially unveil retro 'Heritage' jersey for 25th anniversary
The San Jose Sharks revealed retro jerseys on Saturday to celebrate the club's 25th anniversary season.
Here is video confirmation of what they will look like:
The jerseys leaked earlier this week.
The Sharks will wear them on Nov. 3 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, on Dec. 1 when they play the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Jan. 18 against the Ottawa Senators.
"After a lot of thought, we determined that we would combine elements from the past with elements of the present," jersey designer Terry Smith said in a statement on the team's website.
"Sometimes, the best way to honor the past is simply to remember it as it was," added Smith, who also designed the club's original uniforms.
"The look was pretty cool back then, and for those who didn’t get to experience the first time around we hope they find it just as cool today. We hope our choices will allow the fans to enjoy the best of the past and present as we honor 25 years of Sharks hockey and all of the men who have taken ice as proud members of the men in teal."
