Sharks hopeful Raffi Torres will be fit to participate at training camp

The San Jose Sharks may finally see a return on their investment in Raffi Torres.
The bottom-six forward, limited to 12 just games in the first two seasons of his three-year, $6-million deal due to a string of knee injuries, could be healthy enough to participate in training camp.
"He's heading in the right direction, which is probably the best way I can term it," Sharks coach Peter DeBoer told the Associated Press. "We'll see. We're all cautiously optimistic."
Torres had his ACL replaced after tearing it in a preseason game in 2013. He required a second surgery to remove it after an infection set in.
