Former NHLer Todd Ewen dies at 49

Former NHL forward Todd Ewen has passed away at age 49, the St. Louis Blues announced from their official Twitter account Saturday.
Ewen was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 1984 and played 11 seasons in the NHL with the Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, and San Jose Sharks.

In 518 career games Ewen recorded 36 goals, 76 points, and 1,911 penalty minutes. He won a Stanley Cup as a member of the Canadiens in 1993.
No cause of death has been announced.
