Report: Former Jet Jim Slater signs with Swiss club

Former Winnipeg Jets center Jim Slater has signed a a contract with Swiss club Geneva, according to Craig Custance of ESPN.
Slater's tenure with the Jets dates back to their Atlanta Thrashers days. Drafted 30th overall in 2002, he scored 67 goals and added 71 assists in 584 NHL games.
The 32-year-old appeared in all 82 of Winnipeg's games last season, recording five goals and eight assists.
