Who knew the Buffalo Sabres were getting a penalty-kill specialist when they drafted Jack Eichel second overall this offseason?
The 18-year-old potted his second short-handed goal of the preseason Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
After a giveaway in the Sabres' end, Nicolas Deslauriers sent the speedy forward on a breakaway. Eichel fired a sizzling wrist shot over the glove hand of goaltender Jonathan Bernier to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Power-play units are going to have to be wary of Eichel this season.
