Predators assign Steve Moses, 2 others to AHL
Steve Moses will have to wait to reach the promised land.
The 26-year-old forward, who signed a one-year, $1-million deal with the Nashville Predators, has been assigned to the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals, the club announced Wednesday.
"He's still a player that we're counting on to be somebody who can produce for us," Predators coach Peter Laviolette explained, according to Adam Vignan of The Tennessean. "But I think that there's a learning curve on coming back here.
"I think that the best way to get through that is to get to Milwaukee and try to figure that out. Being the extra guy or an extra guy here I don't think is going to help him, so going there and playing some games is probably the quickest way to try to make an impact and come back here."
Moses was attempting to make a direct jump to the NHL after scoring a KHL-record 36 goals for Jokerit last season.
Forward Colton Sissons and goalie Juuse Saros were also sent to Milkwaukee.
