Desperate times call for desperate measures.
After the New Jersey Devils got by the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 in regulation Wednesday, both clubs took part in mandated 3-on-3 overtime.
During the extra period, Flyers goaltender Jason LaBarbera tried his best to catch the opposition off guard - it backfired.
LaBarbera coughed the puck up to forward Jacob Josefson, leaving a yawning net for Josefson to pot the winner. However, in a final attempt to right his wrong, LaBarbera threw his stick at the puck.

Suffice to stay, the desperation tactic didn't quite work out.
