Veteran defenseman Mike Weaver took to Twitter on Monday to announce his retirement from the NHL.
The 37-year-old spent parts of 13 seasons in the league, suiting up for the Atlanta Thrashers, Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, and Montreal Canadiens.
Weaver announced his decision by showing off a vanity license plate that perfectly summed up the occasion:

Weaver finishes his career with eight goals and 97 points in 633 regular-season games.
