Goaltender Jeremy Smith has been placed on waivers by the Boston Bruins, CSN New England reports.
Analysis:
Smith lost out to veteran Jonas Gustavsson for the Bruins' top backup goalie job behind Tuukka Rask, and assuming he clears waivers, Smith is a candidate to be sent to AHL Providence to start the coming season.
