Panthers release Havlat from tryout

The Florida Panthers have released forward Martin Havlat from his professional tryout contract.
Havlat was invited to camp last month, but was held pointless in two preseason games.
The 34-year-old collected five goals and nine assists in 40 contests with the New Jersey Devils last season.
Havlat has 241 goals and 352 assists in 788 career games.
