Carolina Hurricanes forward Riley Nash is expected to miss 10-to-14 days with a shoulder injury, the team announced Monday.
He was banged up after five shifts in the Hurricanes' home opener, which they lost 4-3 to the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.
Nash scored eight goals and collected 25 points in 68 games last season.
