Dwight King underwent surgery to repair a broken bone on top of his foot and will be absent from the Los Angeles Kings' lineup from between 8-to-10 weeks, head coach Darryl Sutter told reporters Monday.
King has been on injured reserve since the start of the season. He was injured blocking a shot in a preseason game versus the Colorado Avalanche.
He chipped in with 13 goals and as many helpers in 81 games last year.
