This move should come as no surprise considering coach Dave Tippett said Vitale would "miss some time" after Saturday's loss to the Bruins. Vitale skated 6:13 and finished with a plus-1 rating while making his season debut. Forward Matthias Plachta was recalled from the Springfield Falcons of the AHL to take Vitale's spot on Arizona's roster.
