Penguins separate Kessel, Crosby in line shuffle at Friday practice

The Pittsburgh Penguins rolled out all new forward lines at practice Friday after failing to produce more than two goals in regulation for the seventh straight game to begin the season in Thursday's loss to the Dallas Stars.

Phil Kessel was dropped from Sidney Crosby's wing, skating with Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Plotnikov, while Patric Hornqvist and Pascal Dupuis shot up to the first unit.

Chris Kunitz wound up on the third unit with Nick Bonino (healthy enough to skate despite taking a vicious elbow from Jason Demers) and Daniel Sprong, while David Perron returned to the fourth line.

Pittsburgh sits second-to-last, producing just 1.57 goals per game - a full goal below the league mean.
