Report: NHL had replay that appeared to show McDavid shot cross goal line

Mike Murphy, the NHL's senior vice president of hockey operations, admitted that the situation room in Toronto had a replay appearing to show Connor McDavid's shot cross the goal line late in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Kings, according to Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times.
However, Murphy said the NHL deemed it inconclusive and fell back on the initial on-ice call to deny the Edmonton Oilers the game-tying goal with seconds left to play.
Murphy explained that the NHL has roughly 10 cases each season where a replay deemed inconclusive falls back on the initial ruling from the referee.
