Phil Housley showed Monday night that he has a Hall of Fame sense of humor.

The former defenseman and current Nashville Predators assistant coach finished off his induction speech by thanking the Jofa helmet that earned him plenty of playful ridicule despite his distinguished career:
"I know I've taken a lot of grief over the years for this helmet, but I thought I'd bring it out one more time," he said, before pulling out the headgear.
Housley ranks second among American-born players and fourth among all defensemen with 1,232 points in 1,495 career games, but he may never live down that helmet.
