Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov is considered day to day with a groin injury, forcing the club to recall Calvin Pickard from the AHL.
Varlamov injured his groin Tuesday at the morning skate, head coach Patrick Roy said Wednesday.
The 27-year-old netminder is 3-6-1 with a 3.26 GAA and .890 save percentage in 10 games.
Reto Berra has started Colorado's last two games, stopping 31 of 33 shots in a loss to the New York Rangers and shutting out the Philadelphia Flyers in a 4-0 win Tuesday night.
Pickard is 6-0-3 with a 2.27 GAA and a .935 save percentage in nine games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.
