Ovechkin denied record-breaking goal after coach's challenge

For the second time in three games, a coach's challenge has resulted in a no-goal call on Alex Ovechkin, temporarily denying him the chance to set the scoring record for Russian-born players.
Ovechkin rifled the puck into the Philadelphia Flyers' net on Thursday, only to have the play challenged by Dave Hakstol after the Washington Capitals appeared to be offside when entering the zone.
Turns out he was right.
Ovechkin appeared to have set the record Saturday against Toronto, but was then befuddled by a challenge.
The reaction from the social media team Thursday said it all.
No goal. Grr.. #CapsFlyers
